This grade of steel has good rigidity and the finish has a smooth appearance. It's powdercoated with an automotive grade black finish that will look good for years. Compare to "Big Box store" products which are generally made with Hot Rolled material. Hot rolled steel has a rough unrefined finish and is softer than cold finished material, and less rigid.
