We have been using the Erva Heated Bird Bath for over 15 years, and it is still going strong. It has worked great through a blizzard and heavy wet snows (required clearing off deep snow, but always melted at least a small space of open water even in temps below zero). We are now replacing just the bowl due to the cord pulling a bit loose, but this is due to leaving cord connected to an extension cord year-round to weight the bowl in our super high winds - probably wouldn't be an issue if the cord were not used as a weight. Highly recommended.
