It's very rare that a product exceeds expectations. This pole is sturdy, strong, and the twist in ground socket works perfectly. I hit a rock a couple of inches shy but it still stands straight even with squirrels occasionally climbing. I didn't realize just how tall this pole is too- I didn't even need one section.
