Living in NH (called the "Granite State" for a reason),I was hesitant to order this, thinking I might not be able to get it all the way down in the ground. The great design of the Twister allowed for a steady turn, and the holes provided a great location to insert a steel rod piece as a turning device. Both stable and sturdy, even with some pretty heavy feeders on the pole, I'm confident my pole and feeders will endure the fierce winds and snowstorms. A big plus is that you don't lose any of the pole length with this socket. Again, great design, high quality, and very sturdy !!
