The birds love this heated birdbath in winter. I found it particular useful during the winter of 2012 in which we had a very dry winter. It gets used so often I have to clean weekly by using a drop of environmentally friendly soap, pitcher of clean water and your bird bath brush. Then I dump the dirty water and refill bath with the pitcher of water since my outside spigot is turned off during winter. I recommend!
