My parents purchased three of the purple martin birdhouses about 30 years ago when I was in grade school. I grew up watching the purple martin birds and always looked forward to their arrival every spring. Now that I am married and have children of my own, we love watching the purple martins fly around on our farm. From all the bugs they eat, they make it possible for us to spend time out in our yard; otherwise we would just get eaten up by mosquitos. We have four martin bird houses and would like more.
