I have two of these rain guards now...one for each of my hummingbird feeders. The bright red doesn't hurt to attract these little flying gems, I'm sure, but the color also brightens up the space where they hang! I would opt for these over plastic any day because they are durable and look like they'd last for many years without the UV damage typical of plastic rain guards. It's nice to watch the hummingbirds on rainy days take a sip of nectar without getting hit by the rain (or get some shade on the sunny ones).
